The Water Delivery Company receives the same query time and time again and in reaction to that we’ll use these articles to give some easy outlines to the most often raised . A fundamental problem facing someone who has just taken receipt of their first water coolers is ‘The Drip Tray is Full - How Do I Empty It?’.Over time the drip tray of the water coolers will flow over and if you don’t drain it then you’ll end up with water on the floor - spoiling the carpet or potentially damaging a laminate or wooden floor - so its essential to drain the tray regularly. Another snag that can arise from not emptying the drip tray is the build up of algae and bacteria - the drip tray is unhygienic and it looks nasty. So to start - take off any grill which may sit on top of your drip reservoir. Many water coolers have this and they are there just to support the cup as you pour water. These will always simply clip out so a little firm pressure will remove the grill. Having removed the grill you’ll have a firmer grip on the drip reservoir itself. Again using firm pressure draw the drip reservoir towards you it unclips easily. Empty out any water into a sink or bucket. Give the inside of the drip reservoir a wipe with a cleaning cloth and you may like to use a little gentle cleaning fluid or detergent at this stage just to thoroughly disinfect the drip reservoir and maximise its hygiene level. Once the dripreservoir is clear of water you can simply clip it back into its home using firm pressure. You’ll sense the snap as it clips back into place. To complete the process replace the grill if the reservoir has one and you’re all done!
